Actionbound -Sustainability Goals in my City
About the Project
With „Actionbound – Sustainability Goals in my City, we are committed to a sustainable future! In this interactive educational project, young people and adults in various cities form small teams learn to explore traces of sustainability together. The project is intergenerational, bringing students and adults together to collaborate and learn from each other. The participating students come from Ulm, Odesa, and Sofia.
The Goal of the Project
Civil society organizations are important partners today in the implementation of the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As stated in the action framework of the corresponding Education 2030 Agenda (Education 2030 Framework for Action):
„Civil society organizations play a crucial role. They must be involved and engaged at all stages, from planning to monitoring and evaluation, with their participation being institutionalized and guaranteed.
17 Sustainable Development Goals
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations are a global plan to promote peace, prosperity, and environmental protection. They were adopted in 2015 by all UN member states as part of the 2030 Agenda and are set to be achieved by 2030.
The SDGs cover various areas, including poverty eradication, education, gender equality, clean water, climate action, and sustainable cities. Each goal is designed to address social, economic, and environmental challenges collectively, ensuring a sustainable future for all people and the planet.
