
Institut for virtual and real learning in adult education Ulm (ILEU) is a non-profit association from Ulm, Germany, existing since 2002, which promotes regional, national and international cooperation of civil society institutions and citizens through common projects in the field of adult education and culture, since 2008 esp. in the Danube Region. ILEU coordinates the informal educational network “Danube-Networkers”. and the office of the international Association “Danube-Networkers for Europe” (DANET) e.V.
President is Carmen Stadelhofer, 1994- 2012 Academic director and head of the Adult Education Center ZAWiW at Ulm University. Initiator, co-founder and head of the network „Danube-Networkers. Since 2013 she is volontarily engaged as head of ILEU e.V. and DANET e.V. und coordinator of the international Network Danube-Networkers.
The informal international educational network “Danube-Networkers“ was founded in 2008 in Ulm in the frame of the International Danube Festival Ulm/Neu-Ulm 2008 in the Danube Region.
It involves until today around 100 civil society institutions from the fields of education, culture, social affairs and environment as well as universities and schools.
Main aim is to overcome mental and emotional barriers between Danube neighbours, foster awareness for a common, peaceful and solidary Europe. Many international projects, qualifications and actions had been realized, until 2012 under the head of ZAWiW, Ulm University, since 2013 under the guidance of ILEU e.V.
