19.02.26, 6pm (CET): Online Workshop “WordPress for Beginners Part 1” with Gabriele Flemming

Dear Colleagues and friends from the Danube Region and other European countries You, your family, your friends, or students want to learn how to create a WordPress Website? We are happy to invite you to our online qualification workshop “Wordpress for beginners” with Gabriele Flemming over Zoom. This training is for everyone interested in creating a simple website. The first online workshop will take place on Thursday, 19 February 2026 at 6:00 PM (CET) and focuses on basic knowledge. You will learn how to create a simple website with WordPress and what basic functions and design options are available. The second online workshop will take place on Thursday, 26 February 2026 at 6:00 PM (CET) and builds upon the first workshop. It will address questions that may arise after the first workshop and gives the opportunity for participants to show what they created after the first workshop. The qualification workshop will be held in English, with possible translation into German, Bulgarian, Romanian, Ukrainian, and Serbian. The qualification workshop is for people of all ages and countries and doesn´t require any skills. 22.02.2026, 6:30pm (CET): Online Come Together – Ukrainians in times of war and their resilience

Dear colleagues and friends from Danube areas and other countrie! 24 February 2026 marks the fourth anniversary of the outbreak of Putin’s murderous war of aggression against Ukraine. We cordially invite you to an online session to remember the war in Ukraine, which has now been going on for four years, and its consequences for all Ukrain citizens. On this evening, Ukrainians directly linked online from Ukraine in the session and Ukrainians who have found refuge in Ulm will report on the big challenges to overcome everyday life, but they will also give examples of music, songs and photos to remind us of a peaceful, beautiful Ukraine, which they so dearly miss and hope it will be restored soon and one which is worth preserving with courage In a session of togetherness beyond borders, we want to create space for solidarity, reflection and connection. 24.02.26, 6pm (CET): Online Lecture “How outreach programs can foster the civil participation of older persons” with Dr. Dusana Findeisen

Dear Collegues and friends from the danube Region and other European countries We warmly invite you to our next online event in the frame of the “Fit4Democracy” project: On Tuesday, 24 February 2026, at 6:00 p.m. (CET), we look forward to welcoming Dr. Dušana Findeisen, Head of the Institute for Research and Development of Education within Slovenian Third Age University. In her lecture “How outreach programs can foster the civil participation of older persons”, Dr. Findeisen will explain the concept of outreach as it is understood in social welfare, adult education, and education for older people across different European contexts. The lecture will focus on how outreach practices aim to identify, approach, and support vulnerable and socially disadvantaged groups who are at risk of marginalization. In her presentation Dr. Findeisen will address the multiple dimensions of vulnerability, including individual experiences of exclusion as well as the social pressures that contribute to marginalization on social, economic, cultural, and symbolic levels. She will also discuss the challenges these individuals face in developing socially valued identities and gaining recognition in the public sphere.
